Kim Kardashian is bumpin’ that.
The Skims founder has tapped this summer’s “it girl” Charli XCX to star in her shapewear brand’s latest campaign, which sees the singer and internet darling pose in the brand’s new Cotton Rib and Cotton Fleece styles. The campaign, shot by celebrated photographer Petra Collins, features an ethereal Charli XCX in lush greenery as rain pours down around her. In the series of photo, she dons different combinations of the Cotton Rib Split Bralette, Cotton Rib Boxer, Cotton Fleece Shrunken Waffle Lined Zip Up Hoodieand Cotton Rib Bikini.
“Skims empowers people to feel confident in their own skin, which is the essence of Brat,” Charli XCX said in a statement. “I am excited to be working with a brand that understands that comfort and style don’t need to be compromised. Shooting with Petra for this campaign was a dream and I was so excited to get on set and wear these timeless, sexy pieces. Also the puppies were beyond cute.”

“Having Charli XCX as the face of our new Skims campaign is so exciting,” Kardashian, the co-founder and CCO of Skims, continued. “She is a one of a kind talent who has truly cemented herself as a megastar within music and beyond.”
Skims has tapped Charli at her peak. The singer has taken over the world over the past two months with her album “Brat,” which released to stellar reception in June. Since then, she’s inspired the entire world to have a “Brat” summer — most notably, the Democratic party, who has embraced the album’s lime green imagery as a key part of their own campaign ahead of the 2024 election.
Charli joins a growing list of celebrities to star in the brand’s buzzy campaign ads, an aspect of the company’s successful efforts to align with significant pop culture moments. In June, “Bridgerton” star Nicola Coughlan starred in a campaign for the brand’s Soft Lounge collection ahead of the Netflix show’s third season. Before that, Lana Del Rey starred in the company Valentine’s Day campaign following the release of her Grammy-nominated album “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under the Ocean Blvd.”
The Skims Cotton collections will be available to shop at Skims.com on Wednesday, August 21 at 12 p.m. ET. Save your favorite styles below:
